Usually you will be getting a year older as the traditional believe goes~
Hence, my colleagues had planned to work it out by having a 汤圆(Tang Yuan) desserts to celebrate it~
*According to Chinese customs, you have to eat the same amount of dough balls according to your age.
Example: age 5 = 5 balls
Here we have the ingredients ...
*Rice flour dough
* Gingers in assorted shapes kakaka~
* Brown sugar from Melaka
.
.
.
after some minutes had past ....
.
we had made the soup
.
.
and ready to dump in all those color dough balls
*here is the soup - so sweet ... yummy ^__^"
.
.
.
.after some 20 minutes later ...
I heard some water dripping sound...
I guess it must b the tap water head's problem..
.. and too my very surprise, not leh...
is our Tang Yuan
AiyO~~~! kanasai (like shit) liao lah~
the bloody soup had overflows out and made the place really bloody~
Now, it was left only that little and really looks ugly
.
.
my colleague Ah Kat 'si beh du lin liao'(pissed off)
she wants a REVENGE!!!
need to cook another pot....
.
.
.
and ... i had to clean up d mess before she can cook another one
.
.
.
.
.
after another 15mins later..
here is the new one... hopefully this time will not fail ya~
.
.
this time more easier ..
she bought the ready maid dough balls with RED BEANS filling
.
.
everything went well this time ...
and she also bought us some 寿包(Longevity Buns)
These buns were for those who celebrate birthday..
since it was everybody's birthday(Chinese tradition)
so, Kat had bought it lohhh~ hehehe~
.
.

Grandma: No, sweetie ... I'm doing Tang Yuan for you all ^__^*
Kid: That's nice~
Grandma: Ya, oK ..since you are 5 years old, so you will gonna eat 5 of it ya~
Kid: oK ... but Grandma ... you are Jalat leh(Hokkien - deep shit) coz you gonna eat 88 of this dung balls since you are 88 years old~!!
